Chapin Family Marks WHY’s 30th Anniversary With Benefit Concerts in New York City

On Sunday, December 11th, the Chapin Family & Friends, including Abigail Chapin, Jen Chapin, Jonathan Chapin, Lily Chapin, Steve Chapin, Tom Chapin, Jon Cobert, Jessica Craven, Stephan Crump, Howard Fields, Jamie Fox, Michael Mark, Darryl “DMC" McDaniels, Clark Wallace, and John Wallace, performed two benefit concerts for WHY (World Hunger Year), at the Hard Rock Café in Times Square, New York City. The concerts and associated special auction raised more than $32,000 after expenses to help WHY continue to fight hunger on its 30th anniversary.

WHY, which attacks the root causes of hunger and poverty by promoting effective and innovative community-based solutions that create self-reliance, economic justice and food security, was founded by Harry Chapin and current Executive Director Bill Ayres in 1975.
